ABOUT ERIC HAMILTON
Eric Hamilton is an internet, web, search marketing and social media veteran with over 20 years of technology work experience. In addition to being the CEO of AdSmoke (a digital video ad network specializing in user generated content monetization), Eric is the founder of The Web Academy, an online web school which recently reached its 3000th enrollment. Eric is the owner of Web Developers of New York, a Manhattan based web design and consulting firm.
Eric worked for Yahoo! as an Engagement Manager supporting Yahoo! Web Analytics which is Yahoo's enterprise level analytics solution. In addition, Eric supported Yahoo!'s search and display networks. Eric has a software patent pending for "Methods for displaying digital video ads over UGC" and was recently featured in Black Enterprise Magazine giving tips on Social Media.
Eric is the author of 4 different technology books: Social Media Branding in the Age of Obama, Intro to Wordpress, Advanced Wordpress and Google App Inventor.
Eric is from Detroit, Michigan, has a BS in Computer Science from Michigan State University, is a ToastMaster Humorous Speech NYC area champion and he is active in the community with local NYC high school science fairs as a Computer Science judge.

The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA), National Association of African American Human Resources (NAAAHR-GNY), National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA), and the National Alliance of Marketing Developers (NAMD) are hosting the Urban Network Halloween Masquerade Mixer.

NAMD Membership Orientation session
NAMD will begin a year long celebration highlighting it's 60th year this September, culminating with a wonderful conference in April.
NAMD Greater New York chapter will begin the 2011-2012 program year with an informational/orientation session for the new members and potential members who are in attendance that evening. Come out to learn how the principles of marketing are key to any business, brand or corporation. Meet the NAMD leadership and board, as well as join one of our exciting committees. We welcome all students to expand their horizons through NAMD, as your daily marketing choices determine the path you take to success.
NAMD is the organization that is poised to move the needle in the marketing community for every industry. We have panel discussions that are focused on the many growing marketing needs of this economy. Senior Product Manager
Develop, drive and execute the global product portfolio as the Sr. Product Manager for the Xbox Console and Kinect.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the main liaison between the product development teams and product marketing.
- Working closely with Product Planning, Engineering, Market Research, Finance, Product Marketing and other stakeholders on prioritization of consumer scenarios for subsequent product investigations.
- Interfacing with Product Planning to develop and maintain the product portfolio and SKU strategy
- Evaluating new product opportunities, including the business case, financial impact, and product requirements
- Leading cross-functional teams to drive product concepts through the stage-gate process for executive approval and product development
- Maintaining knowledge and awareness of industry and competitive trends
The successful candidate has excellent consumer and/or business marketing knowledge, plus strategic planning experience.
He or she must have the ability to help drive the product development process and partner with internal teams for implementation.
Must Also Possess:
- A track record that shows consistent, excellent performance in challenging and evolving roles

- Bachelor's degree, or higher, preferably in engineering, business, or marketing
- MBA is strongly preferred.

Media Account Executive
Fast growing urban media company is seeking an experienced Media Account Executive who can drive ad revenue in the African American markets. Ideal candidate will have proven track record of driving ad revenue by identifying new clients, building relationships and aggressively closing sales. In this role you will also be required to present to clients, negotiate pricing and contracts as well as to continue to build long lasting relationships.
Qualifications:
- 5+years of a proven track record in media sales (print, broadcast and/or cable)

Manager, Digital Campaign Operations
A national business magazine is looking for a temp-to-hire Manager of Digital Campaign Operations to be responsible for supporting the sales team in executing and monitoring digital advertising programs. This individual will be a part of the Interactive Media team and will work to ensure campaign execution as well as provide optimal client service support for assigned advertisers and agencies. This includes: advertising creative deadlines, technical specifications, and managing inventory, tracking impression delivery, client presentations and reporting.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage and service clients to ensure accurate ad trafficking, contract fulfillment and quality control across multiple properties
- Track, measure, and analyze the performance of multiple advertising campaigns, including creating detailed performance reports and proposing optimization strategies
- Work directly with third party ad servers, rich media vendors, client's, media buying and trafficking teams and internal sales staff on all elements related to creative specifications, submission and ad trafficking
- Investigate and resolve delivery and performance issues and advise management as to revenue risk
- Execute the appropriate media mix for client campaigns based on pricing, spend thresholds and ROI factor and ensure that delivery is within expectations to hit revenue and margin goals
- Conduct daily, weekly, monthly system audits to ensure that overall system volume is healthy and back-end setup is correct
- Liaison with Sales, Product, Marketing, Design and Technology on new products and opportunities, participating in projects through all stages as the owner of advertising operations best practices, requirements and implementation plans
- Manage and deliver reporting and analysis requirements around revenue, sales, and web site advertising performance from various systems and sources, driving business insight and improvement. This may include static reports, ad hoc analysis, dashboards and in person meetings with key business stakeholders
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree (or equivalent training and experience)
- 2 - 3 years working in campaign management
- Experience in marketing, online media, RFP responses
- Understanding of display advertising media metric and calculations
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical and metric oriented mindset that can not only process quantitiatve results but also provide actionable suggestions based on these results
- Interactive agency, web consultancy or behavioral targeting experience a plus
- Exceptionally organized with the ability to multitask and manage multiple accounts
- Ability to understand and report on advertising data and rich media, HTML and Flash advertising units
- Experience with one or more Internet ad management or targeted marketing applications (DoubleClick DART for Publishers - AdTech, OAS, Mediaplex, etc)
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Strong interest in the internet and new media
- Experience with flash, JavaScript and 3rd party ad servers a plus

Sales Coordinator
A national business magazine is looking for a temp-to-hire Sales Coordinator in the Multimedia Sales department. The position will provide clerical and sales support to the Account Executives and Sales Department Management.
Responsibilities include:
- General administrative/clerical tasks
- Input account information into Salesforce
- Complete RFP's, presentations and prospective client proposals
- Research prospective advertisers
- Research for presentations using information within the company (subscriber studies, MRI reports, etc)
